They may have been beaten last month, but D-Hoya & JC Star united to make Jimmy Sparx & Rufguts pay for squandering money to be donated to the Ray Barrett Trust. In a rematch from Heretaunga Hellfire, where Jimmy Sparx and Rufguts were given the $1,000 to donate to charity, D-Hoya & Star proved to be more of a cohesive unit than their last outing and took the win with an Eclipse/Moonsault combination.
Adam Avalanche made an impact when he injected himself into the longest running rivalry in NZWPW - Dan Stirling vs. “Shining” Nick Silver. Avalanche turned the one-on-one into a triple threat and quickly dispatched of both men with Mile High powerbombs and the Wave of the Avalanche. Axl was nowhere to be seen over the course of the night; a wise move by the man Adam’s rage is directed at.
CD wrestled the gigantic Tykade after the two had been unable to compete as a team for the unofficial NZWPW Tag Team Championship. CD appeared to be wrestling an honourable match, but once Tykade worked out a way to combat CD’s superior technical skill, and knock him silly with clotheslines, CD left the ring and grabbed a chair. The referee called for a disqualification as CD smashed Tykade in the back, only for the gigantic man to turn around and boot the chair right back into CD’s face. Tykade followed up with his Game Over finisher before leaving the ring.
The aforementioned unofficial NZWPW Tag Team Championships were defended earlier in the night in a handicap match (the only way the titles can be defended in Wainuiomata according to their rulebook) against Kamystery. “Dream Catcher” selected Kamystery (as the rulebook allowed him to do) after seeing him watching the action from the stage, and made short work of him along with O’Siris to retain.
