Dreamcatcher Guarantees Win

Posted on January 28, 2010 by: NZWPW

Dreamcatcher issued a challenge earlier today claiming that he guarantees a win against JC Star.

With his Vince Mc Mahonish walk to the ring at the end of last year, Dreamcatcher clearly mocked the injury sustained by JC Star at the Movember show. He has now gone a step further by challenging the 5 Star Revolution to send JC Star to the ring to face him at Bringing Down the House.

A quietly confident Dreamcatcher informed us today that he guarantees a victory over JC Star, who he regrets to inform us will not be cleared to compete by friday.

Card Announced for Bringing Down The House

Posted on January 26, 2010 by: NZWPW

With Bringing Down the House only days away we have been given details of the full card including a last minute change to the line up.

After suffering a mild concussion late last week, NZWPW have been advised that GI Jay should not wrestle this weekend. This was good news for his opponent, Corey Dallas who was already reportedly Bitter at his opponent who he sees as being far inferior to his raw natural talent.

With no opponent to face at Bringing Down the House, Corey Dallas approached New Zealand Tag Team Champions, 5 Star Revolution asking for a title shot. The reply came that if he could beat the 1 active member, Travis Banks in singles competition they would be prepared to give him his shot at the titles.

JC Star who has been out since Movember, has been trying hard to get himself back into the ring and while he has been training over the last few weeks at this point it is unsure wether he will be available to compete at Bringing Down the House.

FULL CARD DETAILS

Mikey Rave and Kid Caprice vs Teh Nerd and Chad Howard

Johnny Idol vs Dan Stirling

Carmella Caprice and Chi-tah vs Stellar Hammer and Misty

"The Ideal Experience" Corey Dallas vs Travis Banks

Ben Mana vs Tykade

BDTH 19th June Results

Bringing Down the House Results:

NZWPW fought to a full gym with wrestling fans seated as far back as the kitchen, the fans were very vocal about their favorite wrestlers in true wrestling fan fashion with chants and signs to boot.

Zodiak defeats Tom Brace via (Pin) The junior wrestlers proved their worth with some solid in ring skill, Zodiak was the more aggressive of the two but Tom was not going down without a fight; both were able to lock on "Boston Crabs and continuess counters" almost to the point where a well executed Indian death lock almost made them both tap out at the same time, but experience proved to be the winning combination and Zodiak was able to reverse Tom into a pin for the win.

The Nerd defeats Mikey Rave via (Pin) Mikey Rave proved very popular with the fans in his NZWPW debut as he danced his way into the ring much to The Nerds obvious disgust. Mikey tried to teach the Nerd some dance steps but was met with a big slap to the face, but Mikey shook it of and tricked The Nerd into a huge face plant to the mat; the bout may have gone Mikey; s way but the Nerd still had a few tricks of his own and with the Ref distracted The Nerd was able to low-blow Mikey Rave and tie him up for the win.

Misty defeats Carmella Caprice via (Misty Make Over) The self proclaimed best female wrestler in New Zealand (Misty) severely under-estimated her opponent in Carmella, as from start to finish there was no letting up from the blonde Bombshell, with countless take downs and reversals followed with some great grappling and an fantastically executed spear from the new comer, many thought Misty could be out classed especially after receiving one of the biggest jumping bull dogs NZWPW has seen in a long time, but once again Misty showed her prowess after reversing an attempted Hurricarana into the "Misty Makeover" for the pin and the win.

Night stalker defeats Adam Mystique via (Quick Kiss Goodnight) Two members of "Southern Championship Wrestling" once again entered the NZWPW ring to show everyone that the South Island has talent to show, both men showed great chain wrestling ability and both were very evenly matched in the ring; 'However" the shady Night Stalker wasn't against bending the rules to suit his own needs and even though Adam Mystique fought technically and valiantly the much more determined Night Stalker was able to lock in his finisher (The Quick Kiss Goodnight) for the win, "Post match" Night Stalker decided to continue his offence on Adam and a brawl broke out between the two of them, due to these circumstances security had to be called to the ring and both men were escorted to the back.

Corey Dallas defeats Travis Banks via (The Ideal Experience) Corey Dallas (Formally known as C.D) came to the ring sporting new in-ring attire and a new attitude to suit. The match truly demonstrated just how effective great arm grappling can do to an opponent as Travis Banks was able to keep the larger Corey Dallas at bay through the course of the fight, but Corey wasn't going to let Travis have the final say and responded to him with some grapples of his own, once warn down Corey attempted a huge clothesline on Travis but the move was met with a giant German suplex from Travis and the crowd went wild, but unfortunately for Travis, Corey was able to call on his in-ring experience and turned the tables on Travis by giving him his new finisher "The Ideal Experience" for the pin and the win.

Dan Stirling defeats Ben Mana via (D.Q) This match had a very cultural feel as Ben Mana insisted that everything the ref stated had to be said in Maori or he would ignore it. Both these men came from two very opposing styles but neither were willing to back down to each other. The powerful blows from Ben Mana were met with equally powerful kicks from Dan Stirling; eventually Ben Mana was able to wear down Dan by positioning Dans legs into various holds and submissions, but Dans pure determination gave him the strength he needed to break free and land some massive kicks and spinning leg lariats onto Mana, as the match progressed Mana was once again able to lock in a submission on Dans legs but this time refused to break the hold on the Ref's call and was therefore disqualified , thus giving Dan the win.

Tykade defeats Rufguts via (Tap Out) The garbage man from the Hutt met the man mountain from the valley in a battle of the giants, knowing early on that Rufguts wouldn't be able to over power Tykade he chose to lure Tykade to the outside which Tykade did, this ploy gave Rufguts the opportunity to use the outer ring as a weapon and helped him to weaken his opponent; through the course of the match both men collided in the centre of the ring causing the fans to gasp several times, so severe were the collisions during the bout that Rufguts found himself busted open and thus blood started to protrude from his face, but it was the beginning of the end as Tykade slapped on a vice like submission (The Tykade Clutch) and made the garbage man tap out. Post match, Ben Mana ventured to the ring and slapped on a submission of his own onto Rufguts much to the confusion of Tykade as the match was clearly over. Tykade attempted to subdue his team mate but his interference was met with resistance and a brawl erupted between to two NZWPW Tag-Team Champions.

D-hoya defeats Dream Catcher via (Pin) The match started with a barrage of verbal abuse from Dream Catcher to the many wrestling fans in the He Toa Combat Zone, followed up with a decisive slap to the face from DC to Hoya. D-hoya took immediate control of the match with several body shots and an impressive spinning leg lariat, but the momentum wasn't to last as DC was able to distract the ref long enough for Osiris to make his presence known and knock Hoya to the Mat, but Hoya was able to battle back and sent Dreamcatcher to the corner for a flying knee but Dreamcatcher pulled referee Damian in the way, and ref (Damian) found himself on the receiving end of Hoya's move, and gave Dreamcatcher the opportunity to use the "Razorblade Romance" on Hoya, but unfortunately for D.C the ref remained unconscious from the previous move and was unable to count the pin, a livid Dreamcatcher tried to execute yet another move on Hoya but ended up taking out his own partner (Osiris) in the process, thus allowing Hoya to use his new move on Dreamcatcher (The Checkmate) for the pin and the win.

BDTH Card Announced 19/06

NZWPW'S BDTH is fast approaching and it is time to see which top rated NZWPW stars are going to be in action this Friday the 19th of June.

In the main event of the evening we have NZWPW Heavyweight champion D-Hoya taking on the devious Dreamcatcher

NZWPW.CO.NZ Thoughts: The champ should take this one out as he has proven time and time again why he is the cornerstone of NZWPW. However the champ will have his hands full as Dreamcatcher has a bag full of tricks he will surely pull out to cement a win over the champ and push himself up the ladder.

JC Star will be taking on NZWPWs resident garbage man Rufguts

NZWPW.CO.NZ Thoughts: Rufguts sheer size could be to much for JC Star to handle. Also it needs to be stated that Rufguts has come off a huge match with International superstar Chris Masters in which he had a good showing before eventually tapping out to the Masterlock. Could Rufguts be out to salvage his pride? or could it lead to his downfall as we know JC Star is ever the opportunist.

One half of the NZWPW Tag team champions Tykade will be taking on NZWPWs longest reigning heavyweight champion Adam Avalanche

NZWPW.CO.NZ Thoughts:It has to be said that Adam Avalanche has been to the top of the mountain before and experience may be the one factor that determines the outcome of this match. Whilst Tykade has been undefeated since he started in NZWPW Adam Avalanche is the only one that has come close to toppling the big man as was seen in Te Araroa. Adam will be surely out for revenge as he looks to pick up a win against Tykade.

NZ Champion kickboxer Dan "The Man" Stirling will face the other half of the NZWPW tag team champions Ben Mana

NZWPW.CO.NZ Thoughts:If you did not catch the last show it should be noted Ben Mana's actions after the bell had sounded. Whilst securing a win over the team of "Shining" Nick Silver and Rufguts in a submissions match Ben Mana showed his true savage nature as he did not release his Mana-lock on Nick Silver putting him out on injury. This is a side of Ben we have not seen so far and we here at NZWPW.CO.NZ are curious as to whether Dan Stirling may be in for the same treatment!

Travis Banks will face off against "The Ideal Experience" Corey Dallas

NZWPW.CO.NZ Thoughts: Corey Dallas or "CD" as we have known him has changed his name and attitude letting his true colours show through. This self indulgent young man is out to make a statement that he is the best and he is not going to be shy to let you know it. Travis Banks however after two controversial losses that could be heavily argued will be hungry for the win and we feel that could be a factor "The Ideal Experience" needs to take into account.

NZWPWs affiliate SCW (Southern Championship Wrestling) all the way from Blenheim will be providing two of their top wrestlers to take part in Bringing down the house. Adam Mystique will take on Night Stalker

NZWPW.CO.NZ Thoughts:If the last time these two fought on an NZWPW show is anything to go by then the crowd are in for a treat. As we recall here at NZWPW.CO.NZ Night Stalker brought a hard hitting smash mouth style to the ring but if history is anything to go by it was Adam Mystique who came out on top last time. We wonder if history will repeat itself?

Newcomer Carmella is set to take on the self proclaimed "New Zealands best female wrestler" Misty

NZWPW.CO.NZ Thoughts: At first glance one would think Misty would have this in the bag due to experience and sheer dominance of the womens divisions. We here at NZWPW.CO.NZ feel though that after Carmella's showing at Power Play 6 that a huge upset may be coming.

Zodiac is back in action against Tom Briggs

NZWPW.CO.NZ Thoughts:The last show saw the debut of Tom Briggs and we here at NZWPW.CO.NZ were impressed with this young man and what he brought to the ring. However it was down to lack of experience that Tom lost to Zodiac. Hopefully he has learned something from the last time and won't let it happen again.

NZWPW Bringing Down The House Friday 19th of June "He Toa Combat Zone" 7:00pm
