With NZWPW's first show for 2010 over the crowd is left wondering where things can go next. New Alliances are formed and opportuinities earned Bringing Down the House started the year off in a fashion that I'm sure will continue throughout 2010.

Party Seekers (Kid Caprice and Mikey Rave) Def. AI (Chad Howard and Teh Nerd) Via Pinfall

Nerd and Chad began the match playing tag with each other to see who would start, but they were set upon by both Mikey and Kid Caprice with a double drop kick, Kid tangled with Chad until Chad gained control with a ground whirlpool reversal, scoop slams were exchanged; Chad and Nerd retained the advantage for most of the match even landing some well executed tag team combinations and a near pin falls, but Kid was able to catch Nerd in a spinning neck breaker and tagged in Mikey who landing a flying calve kick to Teh Nerd, then Mikey/Kid doubled team with a thunder roll and leaping leg drop combination, but Nerds (Supposed) superior intellect outsmarted Kid, and Chad was able to lock in a leg submission, but Kid wasn’t giving up tagged in Mikey, but unfortunately he ended up being knocked out by Chad upon entry, Chad! feeling very happy with himself began to taunt Carmella but was met with a huge slap to his face from the starlet giving Kid Caprice the opportunity to roll Chad up for the pin and the win.

JC Star def. Dreamcatcher via Pinfall

Dreamcatcher started off ranting to the crowd, making fun of J.C’s injury, J.C initiated some solid wrestling holds only to have them reversed by Dream (Usually by pulling JC’s hairfor the advantage), D.C continued to complain about unfair treatment and even tried to exit through the audience but was quickly followed by JC who dragged him back to the ring, but as JC entered DC was quick to re-seize control and relentlessly taunted JC while he was doing it, as the match progressed JC eventually got his momentum back and DC got caught in the ropes, however; a missed super kick from JC gave DC the opportunity to land the “Razorblade Romance” but JC reversed it into the “Sex Drive” for the win.

Corey Dallas def. Travis Banks via Pinfall

Both wrestlers were very evenly matched, and were able to match each other with solid wrestling techniques and in ring skill, but as the match progressed Corey gained an advantage with some borderline stretching of the rules, but eventually Travis gained control with a “Butterfly Suplex” and a swift kick to Corey’s back, but Corey’s experience proved too much and he was yet again able to regain control, but due to a mis judgement from Corey, Travis was able to land three German suplex’s followed by a slap and a superman punch, but got caught off guard with a spear from Corey which eventually led to the “Ideal Experience” for the pin and the win.

Tykade def. Ben Mana via Pinfall

The two big men of WPW started with a test of strength and Mana was pushed to the corner which led him to slap the face of Tykade for the indignity, Tykade slapped him back and as Mana lunged at him he got caught in a Powerslam, the two men battled in the ring and Mana received a monstrous scoop slam which forced Mana to have to exit the ring and regain composure, once Mana re-entered the match the two began to swap punches and blows , the crowd gasped as Tykade carried Mana around the ring as if he was nothing, but Tykade became over confident and Mana was able to take out the legs of Tykade keeping the bigger man down, the two eventually ended up in a slugging match and Mana used the ring post to injure Tykade’s legs, the two returned to the ring but Tykades legs were severely hurt and he ended up receiving a DDT and Powerslam from Mana, but yet again, Tykade was proving difficult to pin and when both men collided with a double clothesline Corey Dallas saw a chance to enter the ring and tried to spear Tykade but Tykade re-diverted the spear into Mana and Tykade pinned Mana for the win.

Stellar Hammer and Misty def. Chi-Tah and Carmella Caprice

The match started with Misty demanding the ref (Damo) check Carmella for hidden weapons, then the two began exchanging wrestling holds and Carmella was proving better then Misty originally thought and Misty found herself being taken off her feet a few times, but Misty was able to tag in her partner and once Stella entered; the match ended up taking an aggressive turn, Carmella managed to tag in Chi tah and Chi tah was able to land a double drop kick on Stella but Stella’s brute strength was too much as she shrugged off Chi tah’s clotheslines, and ended up catching Chi tah in mid air, Misty/Stella began to woman handle Chi Tah and when Carmella was tagged in, Misty assaulted Chi tah and slammed her to the outside, and Carmella ended up receiving Stella’s finisher “The Divine Hammer” (Dominator) but Misty evicted Stella from the ring and took the pin on Carmella for herself, thus causing yet another rift between Stella and Misty.

Dan Stirling def. Johnny Idol and G.I Jay via Pinfall

The match started with Johnny Idol making fun of Jay and Dan thus leading them to double team him and evict Idol from the ring, once Idol was gone Dan and Jay tangled in the ring with each other until Idol saw an opportunity and tried to get in a sneaky pin but it was not to be, but Idol was able to dodge a lunge from Dan and Dan ended up sending himself to the outside of the ring thus leaving Jay and Idol to battle it out, Jade ended up getting caught in a flying head scissors from Idol and was almost pinned until Dan intervened, then Jay found himself on the outside instead and Idol and Dan were left to battle it out, Idol was able to execute a jumping bulldog on Dan, but Idol couldn’t keep down the former tag champ, and once Jay re-entered the ring, both Jay and Idol teamed up to take out Dan with Idol clearly calling the shots, that was until Dan gained his second wind and not only did a double DDT but a double “You can’t see Dan” which he followed up with a spinning leg kick and Dan driver on Idol for a pin and the win.

Rufguts def. D-Hoya via Pinfall

The current and former champ began with a test of strength which eventually led to a battled of in ring prowess, both men matching each other with arm locks and scoop slams, while the crowd chanted “Hoya” in the back ground, eventually Rufguts was able to lock in a leg submission but was disciplined by the ref (Damo) as he kept pulling Hoya’s hair, the match was kept at ground level as Rufguts continued to ground Hoya sending him to the outside and the two exchanged huge punches with each other to the excited crowd, but eventually Rufguts performed a deadly DDT to Hoya on the ring apron, now a very weakened Hoya was at the mercy of a cocky Rufguts who tried to initiate a flying body scissors, but Rufguts got caught in mid-air for his trouble, Hoya tried to initiate his own move but Rufguts reversed it into a Ruf driver which eventually led to Rufguts locking in his "Clap Trap" Submission hold, but somehow Hoya was able to turn his body and almost make Rufguts submit instead, then Hoya again attempted to place Rufguts in the Eclipse, but to no avail, and Hoya ended up receiving Sumo smashes to the chest, but when Hoya reversed a squash into a scissor lock of his own, Ben Mana and Corey Dallas entered ringside and distracted the ref, with Rufguts in the center of the ring tapping out Hoya was forced to release the hold to remove the distraction that ultimately cost him victory thus allowing Rufguts to low blow Hoya from behind and roll him up in a schoolboy for the pin and the win………..

Post match: Mana, Corey and Rufguts began to assault D-Hoya until J.C Star and Travis Banks entered the ring and ejected Mana and Corey from ringside, seeing the odds firmly against him, Rufguts also made a retreat to the back and J.C Star, Travis Banks and D- Hoya were left in the ring listening to the applause of the appreciative crowd.
